History: Harry's Bar and American Grill opened
in La Jolla in September 2001. The restaurant was modeled
after the landmark eatery of the same name in Florence,
Italy.
Cuisine: Italian with an emphasis on fresh pasta
and prime aged grilled meats. Daily specials include
seafood.
Décor: Classic, antique, plush and very
comfortable. Leather booths are surrounded by arching
mahogany woodwork. Beautiful fireplace adds ambiance
to the restaurant. European charm.
Public Hours:
Monday - Friday: 11am - 10 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 5 pm - 10 pm
Events can be held outside of the public hours.
Contracts and Deposits: Contracts are preferred
and are generally drawn up to secure a space. Deposits
are not necessary to reserve a date, but a deposit is
generally required 72 hours before the event. The deposit
may be paid with a business check or by credit card.
Final Payment and Fees: Final payment is required
at the end of the event and payable by cash or credit
card. If more guests than expected attend, the host
will be charged accordingly. If fewer guests than expected
attend, the host must pay for the minimum number guaranteed.
Tax is charged on all events, as well as an 18% fee
for non-contracted events and 20% for contracted events.
Outside Food and Beverages: Outside food and
beverages are permitted on approval. No outside liquor
is allowed. There is a negotiable $15 corkage fee for
all outside wine and champagne. The cake service fee
is $3/slice.
Extras: Special setups can be arranged for A/V
equipment, internet access, projector screens, podiums,
wedding ceremonies, etc.
Parking: Complimentary valet parking is available,
as well as ample street and structure parking.
